Abstract

Plastic straw is used in replacement of natural straw for roof thatch, in that it does not burn, rot or discolor. It can be supplied in bundles, just as with natural straw. It has the appearance of a natural roof covering with virtually no difference. It has a longer lifespan than natural straw and is capable of re-use, with almost no waste.

Description

KUNSTRIETARTSTRITE

The invention relates to the replacement of natural cane for artificial cane.

55

The invention that we came up with is copied as a real reed stalk looks like, from 100 cm to 180 cm long and with a diameter of 0.3 cm to 0.9 cm. At the bottom end the stem is therefore 0.3 to 0.9 cm and at the top the stem is ± 0.11 cm. The wall thickness can be 10 cm from 0.1 cm to 0.3 cm. The stem can also be entirely solid depending on the wishes of the customer. The artificial cane stem will also be rough on the outside so that a good homogeneous connection between the stems will occur. The artificial cane will be in the colors of a new roof to a color of what has a roof that is around 15 to 15 years old so that every type of thatched roof can be simulated. The colors will always remain the same and therefore retain their color fastness. The artificial cane is made from a plastic that is U-V resistant so that sunlight has no influence on it. It will not break down and freezing will not affect it either. The 2 o artificial cane is supplied in forests such as this is always done with natural cane, so that only a craftsman, such as the reed thatcher can do this | applying which creates an almost real thatched roof that cannot be distinguished from real when one looks at it. The thickness will also be the same as that of a natural thatched roof. This product does not rot anymore and therefore requires virtually no maintenance, it is also fireproof so that there is no longer a fire hazard with regard to the environment and the underlying habitation of the building where this product was used. If there is a renovation later, this artificial cane can always be reused.

Claims (1)

10 3 08 60«The artificial reed is a clear improvement of the original roofing with natural reed because it is fireproof, no longer rotten, there is no reed or other vermin in it and it has a longer lifespan than natural reed. The product can also be reused so that virtually no waste is produced. 10 3 08 60
