Abstract

The activated airbags are for use with road vehicles, aircraft and helicopters which land in water. They are activated by a sensor which water affects or by manual operation. They are filled with gas cartridges filled with external air with aid of an air pump. They can be placed in a folded situation. The position of the airbag is dependent upon the center of gravity of the vehicle. An airbag undertakes a rolling action at the moment that the vehicle, aircraft or helicopter lands on its head in the water, so that maximum turning is achieved on the side edge. The bags have an operative guarantee for a specific duration.
