ALTHANS IN HOOFDZAAK UIT CELLULOSE MATERIAAL VERVAARDIGD VLAK WANDPANEELALTHANS IN MAIN CASE FROM CELLULOSE MATERIAL MANUFACTURED FLAT WALL PANEL
The invention relates to a flat wall panel manufactured at least substantially from cellulose material. The invention also refers to a method for manufacturing this wall panel.
1010
Such a wall panel is known from German Patent No. 2 026 768 (Universal Papertech corp.). Described herein is a building made up of many different construction elements, such as a concrete floor, roof and side wall parts made of a corrugated cardboard intermediate layer sandwiched by two flat outer layers, as well as staples and corner elements. In practice, the roof and side wall parts appear to have too little structural strength to provide the building with sufficient strength.
It is the object of the invention to improve the wall panel known from the aforementioned German patent publication in the sense that a wall panel is provided which has an optimum structural rigidity to serve as a structural element of a building, as a wall panel in, for example, a partition wall etcetera. Incidentally, it is noted that wall panel is also understood to mean an element for a wall, floor, ceiling, roof, etc.
To this end, a wall panel of the type mentioned in the opening paragraph according to the invention has the special feature that the wall panel is at least substantially made of layers of paper / cardboard, wherein each layer is at least substantially formed by a corrugated partial layer and a side thereof I applied flat sublayer, the paper / cardboard layers being interconnected via an adhesive applied to the corrugations of the corrugated sublayers I, wherein the wall panel is impregnated, in particular with a resinous material, and wherein at least one reinforcement layer stiffer (ie less deformable) than the paper / cardboard layers, wherein the reinforcement layer is connected to a paper / cardboard layer via an adhesive on one side of the wall panel.
In other words, the whole of several layers of paper / cardboard adhered to each other is connected on at least one flat (outer) side thereof to the stiffer (i.e. less deformable) reinforcement layer. Research has shown that the present construction results in an unexpectedly high structural stiffness of the wall panel, so that the wall panel can be loaded with great forces without sacrificing dimensional stability.
I 25 In een voorkeursuitvoeringsvorm van een wandpaneel I overeenkomstig de uitvinding is het wandpaneel I voorzien van twee versterkingslagen die aan I weerszijden van het wandpaneel via een hechtmiddel met een papieren/kartonnen laag zijn verbonden. Aldus I 30 wordt een sandwich-constructie verkregen, waarbij het I geheel van verscheidene, aan elkaar gehechte lagen I papier/karton aan beide vlakke buitenzijden daarvan I wordt verbonden met een stijvere (dat wil zeggen I minder vervormbare) versterkingslaag. Een nog grotere I 35 constructiestijfheid met navenante vormvastheid is I daarvan het gevolg. In a preferred embodiment of a wall panel I according to the invention, the wall panel I is provided with two reinforcement layers which are connected on either side of the wall panel via an adhesive to a paper / cardboard layer. A sandwich construction is thus obtained in which the whole of several layers of paper / cardboard adhered to each other on both flat outer sides thereof is connected to a stiffer (i.e. less deformable) reinforcement layer. An even greater structural rigidity with corresponding dimensional stability results from this.
33
It is noted that impregnation with, for example, a resinous material not only has the advantage that the structural strength is increased, but also has the advantage that protection against external influences, such as moisture, is obtained. Due to the extra rigidity, fewer layers of corrugated paper / cardboard are in principle required to provide the flat wall panel with the necessary rigidity. The impregnation is preferably carried out by means of vapors, spraying or otherwise, the direction of vapor or spray being parallel to the direction of the "cellular structure" of the corrugated paper / cardboard used. Impregnation can also take place mechanically, wherein toothed and / or flat rollers are used to press the impregnating agent into the paper / cardboard.
In a preferred embodiment of a wall panel according to the invention, the reinforcement layer 20 is made of wood, preferably multi-layer wood ("plywood"), in particular three-layer wood ("plywood").
In a further preferred embodiment of a wall panel according to the invention, the wall panel is at least substantially made of an even number of layers of paper / cardboard. In combination with the reinforcement layer, this results in a plate-shaped material that is not or hardly deformable. Preferably, the wall panel is mirror-symmetrical with respect to a median plane of the wall panel to increase its dimensional stability, so that "warping" is prevented at all times.
35 Zoals gezegd refereert de uitvinding tevens aan een werkwijze ter vervaardiging van een wandpaneelAs stated, the invention also refers to a method for manufacturing a wall panel

volgens de uitvinding, waarbij het wandpaneel althans in hoofdzaak wordt vervaardigd uit lagen papier/karton, waarbij iedere laag althans in hoofdzaak wordt gevormd door een gegolfde deellaag en 5 een, op een zijde hiervan aangebrachte vlakke H deellaag, waarbij de papieren/kartonnen lagen onderling worden verbonden via een op de golvingen I van de gegolfde deellagen aangebracht hechtmiddel, I waarbij het wandpaneel wordt geïmpregneerd, in het I 10 bijzonder met een harsachtig materiaal, en waarbij is voorzien in ten minste een versterkingslaag stijver (i.e. minder vervormbaar) dan de papieren/kartonnen I lagen, waarbij de versterkingslaag aan een zijde van I het wandpaneel via een hechtmiddel met een I 15 papieren/kartonnen laag wordt verbonden.according to the invention, wherein the wall panel is at least substantially manufactured from layers of paper / cardboard, wherein each layer is at least substantially formed by a corrugated partial layer and a flat H partial layer arranged on one side thereof, the paper / cardboard layers mutually be bonded via an adhesive applied to the corrugations I of the corrugated partial layers, wherein the wall panel is impregnated, in particular with a resinous material, and wherein at least one reinforcement layer is provided stiffer (ie less deformable) than the papers I / cardboard layers, wherein the reinforcement layer is connected on one side of the wall panel via an adhesive to an paper / cardboard layer.
Opgemerkt wordt dat voor lichtere papiersoorten de I uitdrukking papier gebruikelijk is terwijl, wanneer I de kwaliteit zwaarder is, vaak sprake is van karton. It is noted that for lighter types of paper the expression paper is usual while, when the quality is higher, cardboard is often used.
In the context of the invention, no limitation with regard to the type of material is envisaged when there is talk of paper I or of cardboard and gravity.
I De uitvinding zal nader worden toegelicht aan de hand I 25 van in een tekening weergegeven figuren van een voorkeursvariant van de uitvinding, waarbij figuur 1, I het onderhavige wandpaneel in perspectief en I schematisch laat zien, figuur 2 een detail van figuur I 1 toont en waarbij figuur 3 het wandpaneel van figuur I 30 1 in uiteengenomen toestand weergeeft. The invention will be further elucidated with reference to figures of a preferred variant of the invention shown in a drawing, wherein figure 1, I shows the present wall panel in perspective and I schematically, figure 2 shows a detail of figure I 1 and wherein figure 3 represents the wall panel of figure I 1 in the disassembled state.
I In de figuur onderscheidt men een vlak wandpaneel 1 I volgens de uitvinding in de vorm van een "sandwich" I in de zin dat een kern 2 opgebouwd uit verscheidene I 35 lagen golfkarton aan weerszijden is verbonden met een I stijvere verstevigingslaag 3 uit hout bestaande uit 5 meer lagen, in het bijzonder drie lagen. The figure distinguishes a flat wall panel 1 according to the invention in the form of a "sandwich" in the sense that a core 2 built up of several layers of corrugated cardboard is connected on both sides to a more rigid reinforcement layer 3 made of wood from 5 more layers, in particular three layers.
In the present case, there are four layers of corrugated cardboard which are each constructed from a corrugated partial layer 4 and a flat partial layer 5 glued to one side thereof, using glue applied to the corrugations 6 of the corrugated partial layer 4. The core 2 is impregnated with a resinous material. As stated, the reinforcement layers 3 are glued to both sides 10 of the core 2.
The wall panel 1 is mirror symmetrical with respect to a median plane 7 of the wall panel 1.
It is noted that the invention is not limited to the embodiment shown in the figures, but also extends to other variants that fall within the scope of the appended claims. It will thus be clear to a person skilled in the art that the wall panel can have a (slight) curvature, while the wall panel can also contain a curved longitudinal edge.
