Verstuiver voor het verstuiven van vloeistof.Atomizer for atomizing liquid.
The invention relates to an atomizer for liquid using compressed gas. The atomizer is equipped with cleaning systems 05 so that both the liquid nozzle and the gas nozzle are cleaned. The cleaning action is initiated by shutting off the gas supply and effected by springs. The atomizer is arranged in such a way that only liquid is supplied after the gas supply has been opened. The atomizer does not lose any drops of liquid at the beginning or end of an atomization period. A feature of the atomizer is that both the liquid nozzle and the gas nozzle are fixedly fixed in the atomizer and the cleaning elements move.
The atomizer is particularly suitable for humidifying air in rooms, atomizing solutions such as disinfectants and the like.
Such an atomizer is known from European publication EP-A-525164. It has been found that in some cases the cleaning is not entirely optimal and that the noise level is high. By a separate cleaning system for the liquid nozzle and the gas nozzle, it has been found possible to lower the noise level and to carry out the cleaning more effectively. For this purpose, a movable needle is arranged in the liquid supply tube and a cleaning element which cleans the gas nozzle is arranged around the liquid supply tube.
The invention will be explained with reference to the drawing.

In holder (14) there is a bore (16) which contains a sealing ring (17). End (10) of needle holder (7) fits well into bore (16). In gas nozzle (2) there is cleaning element (18) which consists of a holder (19) and tube (20) which fits slidingly around liquid nozzle (13) and fits slidingly into blow opening (21) of gas nozzle (2). Holder 10 (19) is held by spring (22) against atomizer body (1 The push rod (24) lies in the bore (23) with a loose fit The push rod (24) extends into the bore (4) and is so long that the piston (5) with the aid of the spring (6) holds the holder (19). spring (22) as far as axial v positions tube (20) to pass through blow opening (21).
Compressed gas is supplied through connection (25) and channel (26) that extends from bore (4) to space (27) in gas nozzle (2). Liquid is passed through port (28), bore (29) to channel (30) in which the needle holder (7) is located. The passage of the needle holder (7) is sealed at channel (30) at (31).
20 De werking is als volgt:20 The operation is as follows:
Fig. 1 toont de verstuiver in rust. Naald (12) steekt 25 geheel door vloeistofmondstuk (13).Fig. 1 shows the atomizer at rest. Liquid is supplied under pressure via connection (28). The needle holder (7) rests with the end (10) against the seal (17) under the pressure of the spring (9) and closes the connection between the channel (30) and the wedge-shaped opening at (15). Needle (12) fully extends through fluid nozzle (13).
When gas under pressure is admitted to connection (25), piston (5) will move against spring (6) with sufficient pressure. This allows the cleaning element (18) to clear the blow opening (21) through the spring (22). The compressed gas can now flow out through the blow opening (21). As piston (5) moves further, the needle holder (7) will start to move and release the seal (17). When piston (5) has reached the end of its stroke, the wedge-shaped opening at (15) will be open. 25 The stop (8) is adjustable in the size of this opening. Liquid now flows from channel (30) via wedge-shaped opening at (15) through the liquid nozzle (13) to the blow opening (21) and is atomized there in the gas flow already present.

When closing the gas supply, the movements are in reverse order, it should be noted that before the pressure drops completely, the liquid supply with seal <17> is already closed. As a result, the last liquid from the liquid nozzle (13) will always be atomized 05. At each interruption of the atomization process, a cleaning movement will be performed in which liquid nozzle (13) is pierced through needle (12) and blow opening (21) through tube (20).
