Abstract

The miniature hydrocyclone has a tangential input feed channel (1) for the slurry. Above the tangential channel is the upper axial outlet (2). Below the tangential channel section (1) is a cylindrical vortex chamber (3). The vortex chamber is 100 mm in diameter. Below the vortex chamber (3) is a conical section (4) leading via the cylindrical separating section (5) to the lower output opening (6). The dimensions of the lower opening (6) are chosen to produce a partial elliptical cross-section.
