Abstract

The board (100) has a plan representation of a nine hole golf course. Each player tees off by throwing two dice and moving along fairway by the total number of spaces indicated by the dice. The square landed on may be a safe square (120), an advantage square (150) or a hazard square, e.g. a bunker or watercourse. Each advantage or hazard landed on will indicate that the player should move so many steps back or forward. Alternatively, he may be told to turn over a chance card, with unknown penalties or advantages.
