Abstract
The gear box (1) has an input shaft (2) driven by a main drive shaft supported by the gear casing and a driven output shaft (5) driven from the input shaft via at least one intermediate cog (6, 9) and an additional crown wheel (12) in engagement with the latter which is driven at a variable rotation rate. The crown wheel (6) in direct engagement with the input or output shaft is coupled to a spline (9) at right angles to it, for driving the other shaft via the crown wheel with the variable rotation rate.
