Abstract

Disclosed are an asphalt concrete composition and a method of obtaining the same. The asphalt concrete composition includes a performance grade 76 (PG76) binder; and a warm mix asphalt additive. The performance grade 76 (PG76) binder is blended with the warm mix asphalt additive. The performance grade 76 (PG76) binder is blended with the warm mix asphalt additive at a temperature of less than 160?C. The performance grade 76 (PG76) binder is modified with the warm mix asphalt additive for a warm mix asphalt application.
