Abstract

The present invention provides a hydrogen-containing rare earth fluoride compound, and the preparation method and its application. The hydrogen-containing rare earth fluoride compound containing 50 ppm or less of O, and 10 ppm or less of each of C, N and S, and part of the H and O element in the form of H2O, and the content of H2O is not greater than 20 ppm. The rare earth fluoride with extremely less content of oxygen and water, also part of the H element is in the form of the rare earth hydride, which suitable for the application of infrared coating material, luminescent material and crystal materials. The process of producing hydrogen-containing rare earth fluoride is simple, high economic benefit, and also has wide industrial application values. (No illustration for abstract)
