Abstract
The present invention provides a method for utilizing a recompressed vapor which is produced by compressing a process vapor from a main process, the main process comprises generating a process vapor that contains a condensable gaseous component and collecting the condensable gaseous component in the generated process vapor as a condensate, and the method comprises a recompression step for adiabatically compressing at least a portion of the process vapor by a compressor (5), for forming a recompressed vapor having a raised temperature, a heat exchange step for subjecting the recompressed vapor as a heat source, for forming a noncondensed gaseous component, and a returning step for returning to the main process the noncondensed gaseous component of the recompressed vapor supplied to the heat exchange step, and the method at least comprises a hold step for retaining the condensate formed in the heat exchange step to maintain a pressure of a back-pressure space downstream of the compressor. Such a method allows efficient utilization of the process vapor (recompressed vapor) heated by adiabatic compression as a heat source. Fig. 1
