Abstract

A power generation system (1) in which electricity is generated using waste heat generated in a facility having a liquefied gas used therein including: an acquisition unit (2) configured to acquire a heat medium; a vaporizing device (104) configured to vaporize the liquefied gas using the heat medium as a heat source; and a heat engine operating by causing a cycle of vaporization and condensation in a working medium using a temperature difference between a low-temperature heat medium using cold heat that is heat exchanged and discharged by the vaporizing device ( 104) as a heat source and a thermal heat medium having hot heat higher temperature than that of the low-temperature heat medium.
