Abstract
[Problem] To provide a method for non-penetration joining of members and a non-penetration joining structure, whereby a joining member and a member to be joined are joined with high airtightness. [Solution] A joining member (4) is retained by a receiving mold (6) so that a protruding part (4c) of the joining member (4) is exposed, a joined member (5) is placed over the joining member (4) so that the protruding part (4c) of the joining member (4) is positioned in a bag hole (Sa) of the joined member (5), the joined member (5) is compressed against the receiving mold (6), whereby the joined member (5) and the joining member (4) are plastically deformed at the same time, excess thickness of the joined member (5) is wrapped around and into an undercut part (4cc) while the undercut part (4cc) is formed on the joining member (4), and both members are non-detachably joined together. Through this configuration, not only can molding of the joined member (5) and joining with the joining member (4) be performed simultaneously, but a groove for preventing the excess thickness of the joined member (5) from coming unwrapped can be fo1med by the undercut part (4cc). A composite component can also be manufactured in which the joining member (4) and the joined member (5) are joined in a state of non-penetration, i.e., a state in which airtightness is maintained at a joined portion.
