Abstract

The present invention provides a barrier using a unique array of interlocking concrete unit (200) for erosion protection measure for protecting a sloping surface for coastal protection structure. The protection barrier structure use to protect coastal area, river, lake, reservoir banks, shoreline from damaging hydrodynamic forces of waves and water currents. The barrier comprises plurality of interlocking concrete unit (100) in an array (200). Each interlocking concrete unit (100) is designed to have interlocking capability and friction between neighboring units to gain its? stability. The interlocking concrete unit (100) consists of three elongate members (4,8,6) with top section parallel to the longitudinal axis.
