Abstract
Provided is a transmission case with which a drag loss at a brake can be reduced. The transmission case (101) (second case 103) is formed with a circumferential surface (121) disposed around an output shaft (42). A portion of the circumferential surface (121) in which a brake (B1) is provided is formed with spline grooves (122) arranged circumferentially for spline engagement of a brake plate (123). A spline groove (122A) which is one of the spline grooves (122) is formed with an oil discharge hole (125). Oil (lubricating oil) supplied to the brake (B1) portion is discharged via the oil discharge hole (125) toward an oil pan (126) opposing the oil discharge hole (125) from below in an up- down direction.
