Abstract

The present invention provides a resin composition for pressure vessels that contains (A) a vinyl ester compound, (B) a urethane (meth)acrylic compound having a weight-average molecular weight of 2,000 to 8,000, (C) at least one radically polymerizable unsaturated monomer selected from the following general formulas (1) to (3): CH2=CR-COO(CH2)xOH (1) CH2=CR-COO(Cili4O)yH (2) CH2=CR-COO(Cili4O)yH (3) wherein, R is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group and x, y, and z are natural numbers from 1 to 20, (D) a hydroxyl group-free radically polymerizable unsaturated monomer, and (E) an organoperoxide and/or an organometal salt, wherein the mass ratio of component (A) to component (B) is 95:5 to 30:70. The resin composition for pressure vessels according to the present invention can provide a cured product that has the properties required for a pressure vessel (i.e., excellent impact resistance and excellent adhesiveness with hollow vessels made of a resin).
