Abstract

The present invention discloses a new sled bar corrosion inhibitor and a use thereof. The steel bar corrosion inhibitor includes a compound having a hydroxyamide structure, and a composition of a compound having a hydroxyamide structure and an organic carboxylic acid or an organic carboxylic acid salt. The organic carboxylic acid salt is generated by reacting the organic carboxylic acid with at least one or any two of an inorganic base, an organic amine and an organic alcohol amine. The proportions of the hydroxyamide compound and the organic carboxylic acid or the organic carboxylic acid salt in the composition are as follows: hydroxyamide: 2%-35%, organic carboxylic acid or salt: 0%-45%, the balance being water, based on the total weight of the composition. The steel bar corrosion inhibitor can be used as a mixed corrosion inhibitor or as a surface-applied corrosion inhibitor. The new steel bar corrosion inhibitor is suitable for corrosion protection and repair of steel bars in concrete structures in high chloride/chloride and carbonation environments.
