Abstract
A seat hinge structure of a straddle type vehicle, in which a seat 9 on which an occupant is to sit is supported on a vehicle body side by a hinge mechanism 50 so as to be openable/closable, includes: a vehicle body-side hinge portion 51 mounted on a vehicle body-side component 1 3; a seat-side hinge portion 52 supported on one end of the vehicle body-side hinge portion 5l so as to be rotatable to a predetermined angle 02 with respect to the vehicle body-side hinge portion 51; a first arm portion 58 supported on the other end of the seat-side hinge portion 52 so as to be rotatable to a predetermined angle 0l with respect to the vehicle body-side hinge portion 51; a second arm portion 60 pivotally axially supported on the first arm portion 58; and a link portion 61 connecting the second arm portion 60 and the seat-side hinge portion 52, wherein the seat-side hinge portion 52 and the first arm portion 58 are connected via the link portion 61,which is rotatably supported by the seat-side hinge portion 52 and the second arm portion 60 which is rotatably supported by the first arm portion 58, and the second arm portion 60 and the connecting position 64 of the link portion 6l are provided so as to be movable relative to each other by the rotation of the seat-side hinge portion 52 at a predetermined angle 0l or more of the seat-side hinge portion 52.
