Abstract

Switchboard (1) possesses metal box (3). Inside partition 5 plate (7) is provided at a position away by a predetermined distance from back plate (4) forming a part of metal box (3). Pressure relaxation space (10) is formed between inside partition plate (7) and back plate (4). Ventilation opening (2) of back plate (4) possesses aeration gallery (6). Air intake portion duct (5) is provided on outside of back plate (4) to cover ventilation opening (2). Arc energy blocking apparatus (11) is provided to cover inside ventilation opening (7a) formed in inside partition plate (7) and possesses box-shape inside ventilation member (12), cover (14) capable of closing slits (12b) of inside ventilation member (12), and support members (13) supporting cover (14) on inside ventilation member (12). When an inside arc accident occurs, support members (13) are deformed, and cover (14) closes slits (12b) of inside ventilation member (12). Figure 1
