Abstract
A dehumidifier (101) includes: a moisture absorbent (2) made of a polymer gel moisture absorbing material that has a first state in which moisture can be absorbed and a second state in which the moisture absorbed during the first state is released, and has a property of changing from the first state to the second state by means of a stimulus from outside and returning to the first state when the stimulus ceases; an outside airflow supply portion (4) bringing air (3) taken in from outside into contact with the moisture absorbent (2); and a stimulus applying portion (5) applying the stimulus to the moisture absorbent (2) without causing airflow to impinge thereon.
