Abstract

The present invention relates to a sterilisation system with integrated programmable control of steam management and material handling thereof, the sterilisation system (10) comprises: a) at least one elongated vessel (20), the vessel (20) with only a single opening (22) through which FFB and/or loose fruitlets are received and discharged and the opening (22) provided with a lid (22a); b) a support frame structure (30) to support the vessel (20) either at rest or during rotation; c) a drive mechanism (50, 120, 130, 150) which is capable of delivering sufficient torque to move and hold steady an eccentric weight of the vessel (20) in a multiple of pre-determined positions between an oblique position with the opening (22) facing upwards and an oblique position with the opening (22) facing downwards; d) a lid pick and place mechanism (60) operable for removing and delivering the lid (22a) from and to the vessel (20) without hindering the rotation of the vessel (20); wherein sterilisation system (10) is provided with a computer or PC based controller to facilitate integrated lid movement with programmable multi-positional rotation of the vessel (20).
