Abstract
In the production of a conjugated diene polymer, if the yield gradually decreases, the yield can be recovered. A conjugated diene polymer is produced using a transition metal catalyst and an organic aluminum compound as a cocatalyst, but while a conjugated diene polymer is continuously produced, the yield gradually decreases. In response, the amount of cocatalyst that is supplied is adjusted based on the extent of production of deactivated material produced in the reaction system. More specifically, when the extent of production becomes a prescribed value or less, an increase in the amount of cocatalyst is started. Furthermore, when it is determined that the yield has sufficiently recovered, the increased amount of cocatalyst is stopped. In other words, the prescribed amount of cocatalyst prior to the increase is supplied.
