Abstract

In a safety cabinet (10), the safety cabinet (10) that a flow-in air current is not influenced by a position of a device to be incorporated into a work space (11), its size, an operation of equipment such as, for example, an operation of opening/closing a lid such as a lid of a centrifugal separator (22) is provided. The safety cabinet (10) includes a work space (11) where a worker works, a front face shutter (12) to be formed in front of the work space (11), a work opening (18) to be linked to the work space (11) under the front face shutter (12), and exhaust means that sucks in air from the work opening (18) and exhausts the air in the work space (11) to the outside of the safety cabinet (10) by a fan (15) via air purification means. A front face shutter current plate (13) that is inclined in an inward direction of the work space (11) is formed on the lower side of the front face shutter (12), left and right side wall faces (31) in the work space (11) are provided, side face exhaust flow paths (24) are formed by the side wall faces (31) and side faces (51) of the safety cabinet (10), slits (20) are formed in the left and right side wall faces (31), the air in the work space (11) is sent to the side face exhaust flow paths (24) through the slits (20) and is exhausted via the air purification.
