Abstract
The present invention relates to a solar chimney power plant (10) wherein said solar chimney power plant (10) comprises a collector (12) and a transparent cover (14) positioned in an angular position in relation to the ground. The solar chimney power plant (10) is constructed with a layer of the transparent cover (14), followed by the collector (12) and finally with an insulated layer (22). Flue gas is introduced between the insulated layer (22) and collector (12) via an inlet (18) and is exhausted via outlet (28). The said flue gas is exhausted into the chimney (24) thus creating an increase in air speed in the chimney (24) and resulting the wind rotor (26) to rotate at a higher speed and thus generating more electricity. The solar chimney power plant is operable without any interruption and is not influence by the intensity of solar radiation.
