Abstract

The invention relates to a liquid softener composition having the improved preservation stability while maintaining the softening function. In particular, the invention relates to a liquid softener composition comprising; (A) at least one cationic surfactant selected from the group consisting of amine compounds having in the molecule thereof one or more hydrocarbon groups with 10 to 24 carbon atoms, neutralized products of the amine compounds and quaternized products of the amine compounds, where the hydrocarbon group may be divided by one or more groups selected from the group consisting of an ester group, ether group and amide group; (B) an amino-modified silicone; and (C) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of urea, double salts of urea, and urea derivatives represented by the general formula (C): wherein Ra is methyl group, ethyl group or a hydroxyalkyl group having 1 to 2 carbon atoms, and Rb, Re and Rd are each independently a hydrogen atom, methyl group or ethyl group, with the ratio represented by [(mass of (A)+ mass of (B)) I mass of (C)] being in the range of 1 to 40.
