Abstract

THE PRESENT INVENTION RELATES GENERALLY TO A METHOD FOR VEGETATION ENCROACHMENT MONITORING COMPRISES OF AT LEAST ONE IMAGE CAPTURING DEVICE (701) WHICH IS INTEGRATED WITH WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORK (WSN) TO FORM A WIRELESS MULTIMEDIA SENSOR NETWORK (WMSN) TO TRANSMIT THE ACQUIRED IMAGE DATA TO MONITORING STATION FOR IMAGE PROCESSING. A TRIANGULATION BASED METHOD IS USED TO DETERMINE THE HEIGHT OF VEGETATION AS WELL AS THE DISTANCE BETWEEN SAID VEGETATION AND THE OBJECT OF INTEREST FOR VEGETATION ENCROACHMENT MONITORING.
