THE PRESENT INVENTION PROVIDES THE WATER-REDUCING AGENT FOR HYDRAULIC COMPOSITION, CONTAINING A NAPHTHALENESULFONIC ACID-FORMALDEHYDE CONDENSATE THAT HAS A WEIGHT AVERAGE MOLECULAR WEIGHT OF 1, 900 TO 24, 000 MEASURED BY GPC AND A PEAK AREA CORRESPONDING TO A MOLECULAR WEIGHT OF NOT MORE THAN 4, 000, MEASURED BY GPC, OF 17 TO 38% OF THE TOTAL PEAK AREA.
