Abstract

A ROLL-UP ROOF RIDGE SEALING STRIP HAS A CENTER STRIP (5) WHICH IS SECURABLE TO A ROOF RIDGE LATH (1), AND HAS SIDE STRIPS (6), SITUATED ON BOTH SIDES OF THE CENTER STRIP (5), WHOSE BENDABLE AND EXTENDABLE EDGE AREAS (6) CONFORM TO THE WAVE-LIKE SHAPE OF THE ROOFING PANELS (2) IN A USE POSITION AS A RESULT OF A FORCE WHICH DEVELOPS WHEN THE CENTER STRIP (5) IS SECURED TO THE ROOF RIDGE LATH (1). TO IMPROVE THE ROOF RIDGE SEALING STRIP IN TERMS OF HANDLING, A HINGE CONNECTION (8, 9) BETWEEN THE CENTER STRIP (5) AND SIDE STRIPS (6) IS PROPOSED, ABOUT WHICH THE SIDE STRIP (6) IS PIVOTABLE FROM A PACKAGED POSITION, IN WHICH THE ROOF RIDGE STRIP MAY BE ROLLED UP INTO A ROLL, INTO THE USE POSITION. DURING THE PIVOTING, A RETAINING MEMBER (10) COMES INTO OPERATION IN ORDER TO KEEP THE SIDE STRIP (6) FROM PIVOTING BACK INTO THE PACKAGED POSITION. (FIG. 2)
