Abstract

A drum type washing and drying machine includes a water tub ( 3) ; a cylindrical rotary drum (2) rotatably installed in the water tub (3) such that a rotational axis thereof is declined toward a rear portion of the washing machine; a motor ( 7) for rotating the rotary drum (2) ; a water supply unit (12) for feeding water into the water tub (3); a dry air circulation path for blowing air exhausted from the water tub (3) into the water tub (3) again; and a controller for controlling each component of the washing machine. In a rinsing process, the controller controls the rotary drum (2) to start to rotate at a specific rotational speed after a specific amount of water is fed into the water tub (3), such that the water contained in the water tub (3) rotates along the sidewall of the water tub (3) to flow into a dehumidification unit accommodating chamber (16) via an air outlet (21).
