Abstract

THE PRESENT INVENTION PROVIDES A METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE EPOXY COMPOUND, INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING STEPS 1 TO 4: STEP 1) CYCLIZING A CHLOROHYDRIN WITH AN ALKALI AGENT TO OBTAIN A COMPOSITION CONTAINING AN EPOXY COMPOUND, AN INORGANIC SALT AND WATER; STEP 2) TREATING THE INORGANIC SALT AND WATER GENERATED IN THE STEP 1 WITH A BIPOLAR MEMBRANE ELECTRO DIALYZER TO RECOVER AND COLLECT AN ALKALI AGENT AND AN ACID; STEP 3) SUPPLYING A COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE INORGANIC SALT AT A REDUCED CONCENTRATION DISCHARGED FROM THE COMPARTMENT 1 AFTER THE STEP 2 INTO THE COMPARTMENT 2 AND/OR THE COMPARTMENT 3 TO REUSE THE COMPOSITION AS AN AQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE SOLUTION IN THE STEP 2; AND STEP 4) REUSING THE ALKALI AGENT RECOVERED IN THE STEP 2 AS AN ALKALI AGENT FOR THE STEP 1.
