THE INVENTION PROVIDES A CABINET TYPE AIR CONDITIONER WITH SLIDE DOOR FOR VENT, WHICH HAS SIMPLE STRUCTURE, LOW COST, SMOOTH SLIDE AND IS ADVANTAGEOUS FOR MARKET COMPETITION AND CAN ENSURE LONG-TERM AVAILABLE USE, AND ALSO AN OPENING-CLOSING METHOD OF SLIDE DOOR. THE AIR CONDITIONER COMPRISES A UPPER PANEL BODY (90), A LOWER PANEL BODY AND A SLIDE DOOR (10), THE SLIDE DOOR IS ARRANGED AT FRONT OF THE VENT AND CAN MOVE UP OR DOWN TO OPEN OR CLOSE THE VENT; A DOOR DRIVING DEVICE, THE DOOR DRIVING DEVICE IS ARRANGED INSIDE THE SLIDE DOOR (10) AND AT THE BACK OF THE UPPER PANEL BODY (90); LEFT AND RIGHT BRACKETS (60,180), THE BRACKETS ARE ARRANGED AT REAR SIDE OF THE UPPER PANEL BODY (90), THE LEFT AND RIGHT BRACKETS (60, 180) ARE PROVIDED WITH BRACKET GUIDE RAILS FOR GUIDING THE SLIDE DOOR (10). THE MOVEMENT STEPS OF THE SLIDE DOOR (10) AND THE DOOR DRIVING DEVICE ARE THE FOLLOWING: S1) THE MOTOR (120) IS STARTED SIMULTANEOUSLY SO AS TO DRIVE THE DRIVING GEAR (110) TO ROTATE; S2) THE DRIVING GEAR (110) TRANSFERS THE POWER TO THE DRIVEN GEAR (100) AND THE SWING BAR BALANCE WHEEL SIMULTANEOUSLY; S3) WHILE THE SWING BAR BALANCE WHEEL IS ROTATING, THE POWER IS TRANSFERRED TO THE SLIDE DOOR (10) BY THE SWING BAR ON THE BALANCE WHEEL; S4) THE SLIDE DOOR (10) STARTS TO SLIDE DOWNWARDS TO THE CORRESPONDING POSITIONING SWITCH AT LOWER END.
