11 5 PREPARATION OF ACRYLIC ACID BY HETEROGENEOUSLY CATALYZED PARLIAL GAS PHASE OXIDATION OF PROPYLENE ABSTRACT 5 THE PRESENT INVENTION RELATES TO A PROCESS FOR PREPARING ACRYLIC ACID BY TWO-STAGE HE'- EROGENEOUSLY CATALYZED PANTIAL GAS PHASE OXIDATION OF PROPYLENE, IN WHICH THE PROPYL- ENE SOURCE USED IS A PRECEDING PROPANE DEHYDROCCNATION AND IN WHICH THE FIRST OXIDA- TION STAGE IS OPERATED WITH RESTRICTED PROPYLENE CONVERSION. AND UNCCNVERLCD PROPANE 0 AND PTOPYLENE PRESENT IN THE PRODUCT GAS MIXTUTE OF THE SECOND PARLIAL OXIDATION STAGE ARE RECYCLED SUBSTANTIALLY INTO THE PRECEDING PROPANE DEHYDROGENATION.
