Abstract

A PROCESS FOR CORRECTING STRAIN ON A PLANE MEMBER IS PERFORMED IN A HIGHLY EFFICIENT MANNER, SO THAT THE PLANE MEMBER WITH HIGH PRECISION IS EFFICIENTLY MANUFACTURED. COMPARISON IS MADE BETWEEN A SURFACE SUITABLE FOR THE CORRECTION OF ONLY STRAIN (HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS AN OBJECTIVE SURFACE TO BE CORRECTED), SUCH AS A PLANE PORTION (IA), AN OUTER PERIPHERAL PORTION (IB) OR THE LIKE OF A BASE PLATE (I) AND A STANDARD SURFACE TO DEFINE A STRAIN AMOUNT AT A PREDETERMINED POSITION ON THE BASE PLATE. BASED ON THE STRAIN AMOUNT, A CORRECTING DIE IS CONSTRUCTED USING CORRECTING PINS (7), WHICH IS DEDICATED FOR THE INDIVIDUAL BASE PLATE. THE BASE PLATE (1) IS DEPRESSED WITH A PREDETERMINED FORCE ONTO THE CORRECTING DIE BY PRESSING PINS (8), SO THAT A REQUIRED AMOUNT OF PLASTIC DEFORMATION IS CAUSED AT A REQUIRED PORTION ON THE OBJECTIVE SURFACE TO BE CORRECTED. THE OBJECTIVE SURFACE TO BE CORRECTED IS SUBJECTED ‘TO A CORRECTION ENTIRELY AND SIMULTANEOUSLY, AND THE CORRECTION PROCESS IS COMPLETED FOR A PREDETERMINED TIME PERIOD REGARDLESS OF DIFFERENCES IN AREAS, CORRECTING POSITIONS AND CORRECTING AMOUNTS OF THE PLANE PORTIONS OF THE INDIVIDUAL WORKPIECES.
