Abstract
THERE IS DISCLOSED A DUST COLLECTING DEVICE FOR AN ELECTRIC FURNACE (1) WHICH HIGHLY EFFICIENTLY REMOVES DIOXIN AND OTHER TOXIC SUBSTANCES INCLUDED IN THE EXHAUST GAS FROM THE ELECTRIC FURNACE. THERE ARE PROVIDED A DIRECT EXHAUST SYSTEM A FOR DIRECTLY DRAWING EXHAUST GAS FROM AN ELECTRIC FURNACE (1) AND A BUILDING EXHAUST SYSTEM B FOR INDIRECTLY DRAWING THE EXHAUST GAS FROM A CEILING HOOD (11) IN A BUILDING OF THE ELECTRIC FURNACE (1). A CHARGING DEVICE (16) IS DISPOSED ON THE DOWNSTREAM SIDE OF A BAG FILTER (15) INSTALLED IN THE DIRECT EXHAUST SYSTEM FOR BLOWING OR SUPPLYING ACTIVE CARBON OR ANOTHER ADSORBENT. ON THE DOWNSTREAM SIDE OF THE CHARGING DEVICE (16), THE DIRECT EXHAUST SYSTEM IS JOINED TO THE UPSTREAM SIDE OF A BAG FILTER (20) INSTALLED IN THE BUILDING EXHAUST SYSTEM B. (FIG. 1)
