IN A HEAT CYCLE FOR AN AIR CONDITIONER HAVING A COMPRESSOR (1) FOR COMPRESSING REFRIGERANT, AN OUTER HEAT EXCHANGER (3), AN EXPANSION VALVE(4), AN INNER HEAT EXCHANGER (12) AND CONDUITS CONNECTING THOSE MENTIONED ABOVE, THE REFRIGERANT IS SELECTED FROM HFC GROUP, AND THE LIQUID/GAS MIXTURE OF REFRIGERANT REDUCED IN PRESSURE BY THE EXPANSION VALVE (4) IS DIVIDED INTO A LIQUID REFRIGERANT AND A GAS REFRIGERANT BY FORK PIPES (5, 9), AND THE DIVIDED LIQUID AND GAS REFRIGERANTS ARE ALLOWED TO SEPARATELY FLOW IN TWO CONNECTION PIPES (6, 7) BY MAKING USE OF FLOWING RESISTANCE THEREOF. AND A DRIER (13) FILLED WITH SYNTHETIC ZEOLITE (13) IS PROVIDED IN A FLOW PASSAGE OF THE CONNECTION PIPE (6) THROUGH WHICH THE LIQUID REFRIGERANT FLOWS, AND THE GAS REFRIGERANT IS ALLOWED TO FLOW IN A FLOW PASSAGE OF THE CONNECTION PIPE (7), HENCE PREVENTING THE COMPRESSOR FROM BEING DAMAGED DUE TO FLAKES OF SYNTHETIC ZEOLITE, THEREBY IMPROVING THE RELIABILITY OF THE COMPRESSOR.(FIGURE 1)
