Abstract

THE PRESENT INVENTION PROVIDES INSECTPROOF WOODY BOARDS WHICH ARE OBTAINED BY MOLDING AND HOT-PRESSING WOOD SMALL PIECES OR WOOD FIBERS USING ADHESIVES (SUCH AS UREA RESIN, UREA .MELAMINE CO-CONDENSATION RESIN, PHENOL .MELAMINE CO-CONDENSATION RESIN, PHENOLIC RESIN AND ISOCYANATE RESIN) CONTAINING AT LEAST ONE PYRETHROID COMPOUND (SUCH AS CYPHENOTHRIN, PERMETHRIN, CYPERMETHRIN AND FENVALERATE). THE INVENTION FURTHER PROVIDES INSECTPROOF, ANTIFUNGAL WOODY BOARDS OBTAINED BY FURTHER ADDING IODOPROPARGYL CARBAMATES TO THE ADHESIVES.
