AN APPARATS IS PROVIDED FOR WINDING A WIRE (9) ONTO A ONE - PIECE DEFLECTION YOKE FRAME (21) IS SUCH THAT THE WIRE (9) IS FED FROM A WINDING SUPPLY TO A NOZZLE UNIT (40, 42).A GUIDE MECHANISM (50) FOR HOLDING THE WIRE (9) FROM THE NOZZLE UNIT (40,42) DRAWS THE WIRE (9) T O THE WORK PIECE (21) WHICH IS DISPOSED ON A WORK RECEIVING BASE. THE WIRE (9) IS THEN CLAMPED BY A WIRE CLAMP AND WOUND ONTO THE WORK PIECE (21) BY A PREDETERMINED SEQUENCE OF MOVEMENTS OF THE NOZZLE UNIT (40,42) THE GUIDE MECHANISM (50) AND A ROTATIONAL OPERATION OF THE WORK RECEIVING BASE (60, 61, 70) .
