Abstract

METHOD OF ALIGNMENT FOR ANALOGUE CIRCUIT SECTIONS WITHIN INTEGRATED CIRCUITS. IT IS POSSIBLE TO ALIGN ANALOGUE CIRCUIT SECTIONS, E.G. FILTERS, WITHIN INTEGRATED CIRCUIT USING A CONTROL CURRENT, BY ALIGNING WITH THIS CURRENT AN ADDITIONAL REFERENCE CIRCUIT SECTION WHOSE CORRECT ALIGNMENT MUST BE TESTED OUTSIDE THE INTEGRATED CIRCUIT. BY USING THE HORIZONTAL FREQUENCY OSCILLATOR, WHICH WILL BE CONSTRUCTED IN THE ACCORDING CIRCUIT DESIGN AND WHOSE CORRECT ALIGNMENT IS TO BE MADE ALSO IN KNOWN TV RECEIVERS, THIS REFERENCE CIRCUIT SECTION CAN BE OMITTED. WHEN ADDING CONTROL LOOPS TO THE INTEGRATED CIRCUIT THIS WIIL RESULT IN AN AUTOMATIC FINE TUNING OF THE DIFFERENT CIRCUIT SECTIONS BY ADDING TO THE CONTROL CURRENT SMALL CORRECTION CONTROL CURRENTS. NOISE, CAPTURE RANGE AND COMPONENT TOLERANCES WITHIN THE CONTROL LOOPS ARE NO LONGER CRITICAL. ALIGNMENT OF ANALOUGE INTEGRATED BIPOLAR OR BICMOS C CIRCUITS. (FIG. 6)
