Abstract

A FLEXIBLE MAGNETIC DISC WHEREIN A DISC DRIVING SHAFT CAN BE SMOOTHLY INSERTED INTO A BORE OF A HUB STRUCTURE WHICH IS PROVIDED TO MOUNT THE MAGNETIC DISC ON SUCH DISC DRIVING SHAFT. THE HUB STRUCTURE HAS A PAIR OF POSITIONING SURFACES (10) AT LOCATIONS THEREOF SPACED APART FROM EACH OTHER ABOUT A CENTRAL AXIS OF THE BORE AND INCLUDES A PAIR OF SEAT MEANS (20) FOR RECEIVING THEREON THE OPPOSITE END PORTIONS OF AN ELONGATED METAL SPRING (28) PLATE WHICH IS PROVIDED TO RESILIENTLY PRESS THE POSITIONING SURFACES OF THE HUB STRUCTURE AGAINST AN OUTER PERIPHERY OF A DISC DRIVING SHAFT. A PORTION (32A) CONTIGUOUS TO A LOWER END OF THE METAL SPRING PLATE (28) IS BENT AWAY FROM THE POSITIONING SURFACES OF THE HUB STRUCTURE. WHEN A DISC DRIVING SHAFT IS INSERTED INTO THE BORE OF THE HUB STRUCTURE OF THE MAGNETIC DISC, THE BENT PORTION (32A) OF THE METAL SPRING PLATE (28) IS CONTACTED WITH AND GUIDE BY A TOP AND PORTION OF THE DISC DRIVING SHAFT AND THE METAL SPRING PLATE WILL NOT CUT INTO THE TOP END PORTION OF THE DISC DRIVING SHAFT.
