A METHOD OF COATING GRAPHITE ON A CATHODE RAY TUBE (T) IS DISCLOSED, WHICH COMPRISES THE STEPS OF SPRAYING GRAPHITE, CONVEYING CATHODE RAY TUBES, INTERRUPING THE DISPERSION OF GRAPHITE DUST AND SUCHING IT WAY, AND DISCHARGING THE GRAPHITE DUST. AN APPARATUS FOR COATING GRAPHITE ON A CATHODE RAY TUBE (T) COMPRISES A HOUSING (11), A GRAPHITE SPRAYING MEANS (10), A CONVEYING MEANS (20) HAVING A LIFTER (22) AND A CONVEYER LINE (23), AND A DUST COLLECTING MEANS (30) AND A CONTROLLER. AS THE APPARATUS PERFORMS AUTOMATIC GRAPHITE LAYER COATING IN SEQUENCE PRODUCTIVITY A REMARKABLY IMPROVED, AND THE POLLUTION OF THE WORK ENVIRONMENT CAN BE PREVENTED.
