WHEN TRASMITTING TV SIGNALS WITH 4:3 ASPECT RATIO FOR RECEIVING WITH A STANDARD RECEIVER AS WELL AS ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR A 16:9 ASPECT RATIO WHICH CAN BE RECEIVED AND DECODED IN A SPECIAL TV RECEIVER OR WHEN TRANSMITTING ''LETTER BOX'' SIGNALS, WHEREBY THE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION CONTAINS HIGHER SPECTRAL PARTS WHICH ARE GENERATED IN THE TRANSMITTER, THE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS MODULATED ON THE PAL COLOUR INFORMATION (U,V) IN SUCH A WAY, THAT THE SPECTRAL AREAS OF THE COLOUR INFORMATION (U,V) ARE COVERED TWICE. FOR PAL TV RECEIVER WITH 4:3 ASPECT RATIO AND ENLARGED 16:9 ASPECT RATIO.(FIG. 3)
