Description
SYSTEM OF PROFILES FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF FACADES. FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to prefabricated structures of metallic materials and, more specifically, to a system of profiles for the construction of facades. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION At present, there are several types of prefabricated structures based on metal profiles for the assembly of fcahadas for use in the construction industry. Regularly, for the placement of large glass sheets in buildings, several types of profiles are required, which are cut into different sizes according to the specific dimensions required of the glass sheets. For example, to cover an exterior building with glass, a structure based on aluminum profiles is assembled, forming a series of frames that have an upper part, a lower part; and, a pair of profiles commonly called "jamba", which constitute the lateral parts of each frame. Up to now, the profiles systems for the assembly of windows for the construction industry include a main profile formed by four parts, a first base profile or support on which the glass sheet is supported on its entire periphery; a first cover profile for covering the rear part of the base profile or support; a joining profile that engages on the base profile or support, leaving a clear between them for the placement of the edge of the glass sheet; a screw connected between both profiles to retain the glass sheet and, finally, a second cover profile to cover the upper part of the joining profile to cover the screw.
However, one of the problems of this type of systems is that there is no good support between the base profile or support and the joining profile, since the latter tends to move, misaligned with respect to the base profile. Another disadvantage of this type of systems is that, for its assembly, it requires four different types of profiles which show the final product. An additional disadvantage of the profile system is that the packing maneuver is difficult, that is, it is difficult to place the packages between the profiles and the edges of the glass sheet. Another additional disadvantage is that the known profile system does not have a drainage system, so that, in case of rain, the internal cavities fill with water and do not have any outlet hole to drain the accumulated water. According to the above and in order to improve the profile system for the construction of facades that facilitates the installation of large sheets of glass and that minimizes the production costs of the profiles. For the foregoing, the present invention relates to a system of profiles for the construction of facades with large sheets of glass of the type comprising: a base profile or support where the glass sheet rests on its entire periphery, said base profile comprising a first vertical side wall and a second vertical side wall, said vertical walls being placed parallel to each other, said first and second vertical walls including at one end first retaining edges projecting through the internal part of said first and second vertical walls; a connecting wall connecting the first and second walls in the lower part; a first side channel formed in each of the points of attachment of each of said first wall and said second wall with the junction wall, said channel being used for the placement of a first retainer gasket to be placed between a first side ^ of the edge of a sheet of glass and said side channel; a spacer element connected on the middle part of the connecting wall which includes a pair of alignment guides and a threaded section for retaining a screw or any other fastening element. The profile system also includes a joining profile that engages on the base profile or support to retain the opposite part of the edge of the glass sheet, said joining profile including a horizontal wall having at both ends formed a second side channel for the placement of a second retention package placed between the edge of the glass sheet and said second channel; Y,
second retaining edges projecting in opposite relation to the second side channels, which are located towards the inner part of the ends of said horizontal wall; the horizontal wall further having a central rim coindicente with the pair of alignment guides of the spacer element, for an alignment and rigid fixation of said base profile or support and said joining profile. A screw is
connected between both base profiles or support and said fastening profile to retain the edges of the glass sheet. And, finally, a cover profile formed by a first lateral vertical retaining section f and a second lateral vertical retaining section, said retaining sections joined at one end thereof with a horizontal wall, the opposite ends of said retaining sections being
coupled with the base profile or support through the first retaining edges of said first and second vertical wall and, with the joining profile through the second retaining edges. OBJECTIVES OF THE INVENTION. Therefore, and taking into account the disadvantages of prior art, it is a
The first objective of the present invention is to provide a profile system for the construction of facades that maintains a perfect alignment of the parts that comprise it. It is a further object of the present invention to provide a profile system for the construction of facades that decreases the number of profiles for assembly. A further object of the present invention is to provide a system of profiles for the construction of facades, which has drainage sections for the escape of water, in case the internal cavities are filled with water by the effect of rain. It is another object of the present invention to provide a profile system for the construction of facades having a cavity and projection to align the position of the profiles. A further objective of the present invention is to provide a system of profiles for the construction of facades that presents a new position of the 15 cavities of packaging, to facilitate the packing maneuver between the edge of the glass sheet and the system of profiles . It is still another object of the present invention to provide a system of
'* profiles for the construction of facades that uses an external assembly profile that does not affect an additional reinforcement of steel, which is internally placed inside the internal cavity left by the profile system. A further objective of the present invention is to provide a system of profiles for the construction of facades that includes a series of cavities designed for the head of the crystal. These and other objects and advantages of the present invention will become apparent to those skilled in the art from the following detailed description of the invention which is illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
