By the way, as mentioned above, in the case of a cap that is attached to the upper end of a curtain wall, extruded aluminum material cut into lengths of several meters is used, so the ends of adjacent caps are placed at the construction site. Therefore, it is necessary to make a watertight connection.

For this reason, conventionally, an appropriately bent plate was installed at the site below the connecting part of the kasagi, and caulking material was poured onto this plate to connect the ends of adjacent kasagi in a watertight manner. was.

(Problem that the invention aims to solve) However, when connecting the ends of adjacent capboards in a watertight manner as described above, not only is it troublesome to process the plates on site, but the caulking material also prevents water from leaking. If the sealing function is impaired, water leaks immediately below the cap, which is not desirable.

Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 54-37918 describes a connection joint that has a gutter-like upper surface and can drain rainwater leaking from the connection part of the parapet cover to the outside. In the case of connection joints, the parapet cover and the connection joint cannot be handled as one, which not only complicates parts management, but also makes it troublesome to attach the connection joint to a predetermined location on site.

In addition, rainwater leaking from the connection part of the parapet cover flows through the groove on the top surface of the connection joint and flows down to the top surface of the middle plate of the parapet cover, but since this middle plate is flat, it flows onto the top surface of the middle plate. There is a possibility that the rainwater flowing down will flow in the width direction of this middle board and flow into the inside of mullion 1 or the top surface of mullion 2, and if it does, the rainwater will leak into the room from unexpected parts. This is not desirable as it may cause discharge.

Further, the above-mentioned backing plate is slidable in the first and second groove-shaped portions formed on the base plate inclined in one direction and on both ends in the length direction of the base plate, respectively, similar to the above-mentioned Kasagi. a pair of vertical walls formed by folding up both widthwise edges of the substrate portion in an upward direction; A hanging wall part is formed by bending the lower end edge of the part downward, and its lower end is inserted into the concave groove of the above-mentioned cap, and a part corresponding to any part of the above-mentioned cap. The cap has a long hole extending in the length direction of the cap, and the cap is inserted through the long hole and screwed into a screw hole formed in any part of the cap to connect the cap to the cap. ,
The cap is only able to move slightly in the lengthwise direction, and as it moves, a portion of the cap is connected to one end of the cap so that it can move in and out.

Furthermore, the above-mentioned caulking material is applied by fitting the above-mentioned caulking board over the inside of the end of one of the adjacent caps to be connected and the inside of the end of the other caps. It is injected and solidified onto the base plate of the plate.

(Function) In the case of the present invention configured as described above, the plate is stored inside one of the pair of caps to be connected during transportation of the caps, and the caps are connected to each other at the site. When connecting the caps to each other, pull them out from the inside of one of the caps and pass them between the two caps.

Therefore, the cap and the plate can be handled as one unit, making parts management easier, and the plate will not be damaged during transportation. Furthermore, by pulling out the plate from one of the caps to the extent that the screw can move inside the elongated hole, the plate can be correctly spanned between the pair of caps to be connected.

Furthermore, if the water-sealing function of the caulking material is impaired, rainwater that has entered through the gaps between the edges of the capboard will flow over the base of the board and be discharged, but it will leak from the connections between the capboards and cause damage to the caps. All of the rainwater that has flowed on the base of the board, except for the part that flows directly from the discontinuous part of the kasagi, flows into the groove, flows only in the length direction of the kasagi along this groove, and flows between the kasagi. is discharged from the discontinuity that exists at the connection of the For this reason, it is possible to reliably prevent rainwater leaking from the joints between the caps from flowing into the inside of the mullion or the top surface of the mullion.

If the water-sealing function of the caulking material 27 is impaired, rainwater that has entered between the edges of the adjacent caps 5, 5 will flow over the base plate 16 of the plate 15.
Since it flows down from the discontinuous part of the horizontal wall part 9, this rainwater does not invade the inside of the mullion 1 or the upper surface of the mullion 2.

In particular, in the case of the present invention, all of the rainwater that leaked from the connecting part of the caps 5, 5 and flowed on the upper surface of the base plate 16 of the plate 15, except for the part that directly flows down from the discontinuous part of the caps 5, 5, It flows down into the groove 30 and flows only in the length direction of the caps 5, 5 along this groove 30,
It is discharged from the discontinuous portion. For this reason, it is possible to reliably prevent rainwater leaking from the connecting portion of the caps 5, 5 from flowing into the inside of the mullion 1 or the upper surface of the mullion 2.

If a backup material 28 made of sponge, styrofoam, etc. is attached to the base plate 16 of the backing plate 15 as shown in FIG. 8, the amount of caulking material 27 used can be reduced, which is economical. It is. Also, in Figure 1, 29 has Kasagi 5 as Mume 2.
This is a bracket for fixing to mullion 1, but if there is no problem even if the connecting part of kasagi 5, 5 exists in a part separated from mullion 1, it is possible to fix kasagi 5, 5 to mullion 1. You can also do it.

(Effect of the invention) Since the curtain wall cap connection device of the present invention is constructed as described above, it is easy to connect the ends of the caps at a construction site in a watertight manner using caulking material. Moreover, even if the water-sealing function of the caulking material is impaired, rainwater that has entered between the edges of the cap wood can be reliably drained.

[Scope of Claim for Utility Model Registration] A pair of caps to be connected to each other, a backing board provided in a state that spans between the pair of caps, and this backing board and the above pair of caps. A connecting device for a curtain wall cap, which is made of a caulking material filled in an enclosed space, and the cap is provided downward from both end edges of a top panel that slopes in one direction. In addition, the first and second hanging walls, a pair of horizontal walls formed from the inner surface of each hanging wall toward the center of the Kasagi, and the upper surfaces of both horizontal walls and the bottom of both ends of the top plate. The first and second groove-shaped parts formed between the side parts and facing each other, and the upper surface of the horizontal wall part of the inner surface of the first hanging wall provided on the lowered side of the top plate part, are provided with a cap. The plate has a groove formed in the length direction, and the plate has a base plate inclined in one direction similarly to the cap, and a base plate formed at both ends of the base plate in the length direction. first and second fitting portions each having a shape and size that are slidably fitted into the first and second groove-like portions, and both edges in the width direction of the substrate portion are folded upward; A pair of standing walls formed by standing,
A hanging wall part formed by bending the lowered side edge of the base plate part downward and having its lower end inserted into the concave groove of the Kasagi faces any part of the Kasagi. The cap has a long hole that is long in the length direction of the cap, and the cap is inserted through the long hole and screwed into a screw hole formed in any part of the cap. On the other hand, this cap tree can only be moved slightly in the length direction, and as it moves, a part of it is connected to one end of the cap tree so that it can come in and out, and the caulking material should be connected. The above-mentioned plate was stretched over and fitted between the inside of the end of one of the adjacent caps and the inside of the end of the other Kasag, and then poured and solidified onto the base plate of this plate. A connection device for curtain wall caps.
