Description
DEVICE FOR MAKE-UP OF LIPS
Field of the invention
The present invention relates to a device for the makeup or care of the lips of a user. More particularly, the invention relates to the simultaneous treatment of both lips.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Generally, such treatment of the lips is carried out, either by means of a solid and disintegrable lipstick bar that the user extends over the lips, or by means of a brush applicator, when it is a fluid makeup composition. In these two cases, it is necessary to apply the product with care, to obtain a careful and exact makeup, using a mirror. It is also necessary to renew this makeup several times a day, since the preservation of the product on the lips is limited in time, particularly after a meal.
REF: 25274 The operation of lip treatment using a bar or a lipstick brush is delicate, in particular when the user wishes to renew the make-up during the day, for example in the office or during transport in a car or subway, or when a product for their care should be applied to the lips, for example during winter sports or on the coast.
Description of the invention
To avoid these drawbacks, the invention proposes a practical make-up device, which allows a lip make-up without the need for a mirror. In addition, the makeup device of the invention allows the wearer to apply a lip or, preferably, both lips simultaneously, in a short time, and in a precise manner. In addition, this device is economically very interesting, since it does not comprise complicated mechanics and does not need expensive assembly. Consequently, the device of the invention can be proposed to the user at an extremely advantageous price. The invention thus relates to a make-up or care device for the treatment of the lips of a user, comprising a support, at least part of which is capable of being impregnated with a powdery or liquid-to-pasty product. According to the invention, the support has a flattened shape and can have a surface (and preferably two opposing application surfaces, substantially parallel), capable of coming into contact with a lip (or with both lips) of the user, the part impregnated with the product being apt to deform elastically by compressing the surfaces by the lips and coinciding with its shape, so that a transfer of product is effected to the lips upon compression of the support between the lips of the wearer. By the term "powdery or pasty product" is meant any composition for the treatment of the lips, in particular a make-up product which usually comprises color pigments and a binder. Generally, this binder favors the adherence of the pigments on the lips and ensures the maintenance of the makeup over time. When these pigments are mixed with a small amount of binder, a free flowing makeup powder is obtained. When a more or less significant amount of binder is mixed with the pigments, a product with a pasty, creamy or liquid consistency is obtained according to the nature of the binder. In particular, the preferred product is a carmin paste for lips. However, the invention is also intended for the use of non-colored protective products for the lips, such as protection products, which can be used in the mountains during the winter sports season, for example a protective cream against the UV radiation. This product can be disposed directly on the support, to constitute a disposable mono-dose makeup device and thus serve as a demonstration sample in beauty shops. In this case, advantageously, the carrier loaded with product is protected by an appropriate protective envelope. However, according to a preferred embodiment, the device of the invention is a device for multiple use, comprising a product reservoir, in which the support is immersed in the rest position. To facilitate the makeup, the support can be mounted on a rigid element that serves as a gripping handle.
The fixing of the support on the rigid element can be effected by gluing, welding or by press fitting the support. Generally, the support will be presented in a flattened form with a thickness of approximately 0.4 to 2 cm and a width of approximately 4 to 8 cm. The general profile of the support can have a rectilinear, concave, convex or any other shape that allows the support between the lips to be tightened to achieve an exact aesthetic makeup, without overflowing the immediate parts of the face. According to a first possibility, the support comprises a plate of elastically compressible foam, of open or closed cells. According to another possibility, the support is a hollow part, made, for example, with a flexible elastomeric material. In these two cases, the two surfaces of the support can be covered by a nonwoven material, which favors the reception of the product. Advantageously, the two surfaces of the support are covered by a flocculation made, for example, with fine fibers of rayon (R), cotton, nylon or polyester.
When the support is associated with a product tank, this tank is formed by a box that has an opening for the insertion of the support, the support being in permanent contact with the product, when it is inserted in the box. To ensure a good distribution of the product on the support, and to avoid any excess product, the box may have at least one lip or collection or pressure lip, suitable for collecting the product or compacting it on the surfaces of the support, when the latter is removed from the box. This collection or compaction flange can be made in sponge or foam. According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the support can be presented in the form of a flexible, flat disk. In this case, the disc is mounted in a rotating arrangement in the box, emerging from the box a part of the support, by an appropriate opening and serving for the makeup of the lips, while a second part of the support is in contact with the product contained in the box. It is possible to provide a drive means for the disc, which allows it to be rotated without contacting the user's fingers with the product. Performing a rotation of half a turn of the disc, the part of the disc that was previously in contact with the product located inside the tank, emerges from the box and can be used for the makeup of the lips. By this arrangement an impregnation with the product of the support can be ensured, continuously. According to this embodiment, when the product is liquid, the edges of the opening of the cassette can have at least one collecting lip or lip, apt to collect the product on the surfaces of the support, in the course of the rotation of the latter. When the product is pulverulent, this flange may be a compaction flange that allows the powder to be pressed onto the support. When a make-up device is made with a reservoir, in general the support can be in direct contact with the product. However, in particular when relatively liquid compositions are used, it may be advantageous to place at least one spongy element saturated in this product in the tank, which element will be able to come into contact with the support. This contact can be permanently secured by adjusting the location of the spongy element, so that it comes in contact with the support. It is possible, however, to establish contact between the support and the spongy element, temporarily. In such case, the box will comprise at least one flexible wall, deformable towards the interior of the box, the spongy element being fixed on the internal face of this flexible wall. A deformation of the wall of the cassette then causes the spongy element to move and put it in contact with the support, and therefore the impregnation of the support by the product. To make the present invention better understood, we will now describe, by way of purely illustrative and by no means limiting examples, various embodiments of a device according to the invention, with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 shows an elevation view of a lip makeup device, according to the invention, according to a first embodiment.
Figure 2 shows an elevation view of a lip makeup device, according to the invention, according to a second embodiment.
Figure 3 shows an axial section according to the plane III-III of figure 1.
Figure 4 shows the device of Figure 3 in the course of a user's lip makeup.
Figure 5 shows a longitudinal section of the make-up device of Figure 3, which device further comprises a product reservoir.
Figure 6 shows an axial section according to the plane VI-VI of figure 5.
Figure 7 shows an axial section of another embodiment of the invention, comprising a product support mounted in a rotating arrangement in a product tank.
With reference to figures 1 to 3, we will say that a lip makeup device can be seen comprising a support 2 of elongated flat shape. In Figure 1, the support 2 has a concave profile 2a; in figure 2 a support 2 having a convex profile 2b is seen. The supports 2a and 2b are made of a flexible, elastically deformable material, for example an elastomeric material. As it is visible in figure 3, this support is internally hollow. It has two opposite application surfaces 4, 6. The support 2 is covered with a coating 3 of fine rayon (R) fibers, also called flocculated. As a variant, it is also possible to make the support 2 with a spongy material, for example a sheet of foam, elastically compressible, of open or closed cells. This foam plate can be provided with a flocculation, likewise. With regard to the average dimensions of the lips, the application surfaces 4,6 of the support 2 are slightly oversized. The support 2 is fixed on a rigid base 8 comprising, on the side opposite the support 2, a grip grip 11. As shown in Figure 4, the support 2 is loaded with a product P. This product can be a composition from pulverulent treatment or from liquid to pasty. Preferably, the product P is a lipstick lip cream. Thanks to the presence of flocculate 3, this cream can be relatively liquid, adhering to the support without flowing. As shown in figure 4, in order to effect a make-up, the user simply presses the support 2 between the two lips. Thanks to the deformability of the support, it adjusts in line with the contour of the lips and the transfer of the product P to the lips L is carried out precisely on the entire surface of both lips in a single operation. Thus, a make-up of the lips takes place very quickly. It is possible to preload the support 2 with the product P and to constitute a disposable single dose applicator after use. In this case, the support is surrounded by a protective cap (not shown). In FIGS. 5 and 6, a multi-use makeup device 101 for a fluid product P is shown. It comprises a support 102 made of elastically deformable foam with open cells, integral with a rigid grip handle 108 provided with a handle 111, which support is arranged, in a sealed manner, inside a casing 110 with semi-rigid walls 112, 114. To this end, the cassette is provided with a hole 115. The support 102 comprises two application surfaces 104, 106. Between these surfaces 104, 106 and the walls 112, 114 of the cassette are located two sponge plates 116, 118. Plates are saturated with a liquid makeup product or a protective lip product. Near the hole 115, there is provided a collection member 120, which surrounds the support 102. The collection member 120 comprises a flange or lip, in contact with the support 102., which serves to evenly spread the product on the support, avoiding any excess product. The collection element 120 can be made of an elastomeric material, or else of alveolar foam, elastically deformable and can optionally be provided with a flocculation. To effect a lip make-up, the user compresses the walls 112, 114 of the box 110 in order to impregnate the support 102 with the product. Proceed then to the lip makeup acting in the same way as described in relation to the figure 4. Figure 7 shows a cassette 210 that constitutes a reservoir for a powdery or liquid product P. The casing 210 of a longitudinal opening 215 is provided on which a disc-shaped support 202, made of an elastically deformable material, has been mounted in a rotating arrangement. This disc is placed so that inside the cassette 210 a first part 202a is immersed in the product P. A second part 202b, diametrically opposite to the first one, is visible on the outside of the cassette. When this disc is rotated 180, the part impregnated with the product 102a appears on the outside, and can be used for the makeup of the lips, as described. The product P is distributed homogeneously over the part 202a, thanks to the presence of a flange 220 that ensures the collection of the product on the disc
(when the product is liquid or pasty) or compaction on the disc (when the product is a free-flowing powder). This ridge 220 can be made with an elastomeric material or an alveolar foam, elastically deformable. Advantageously, the box used for the applicator according to the invention comprises a mirror on one of its external faces. It is also possible to provide on the cassette a means, such as a cord, intended for the hooking of the cassette.
It is noted that in relation to this date, the best method known by the applicant to carry out the present invention, is the conventional one for the manufacture of the objects to which it refers.
Having described the invention as above, the content of the following is claimed as property:
