Abstract

The present invention relates to an applicator for applying a cosmetic product from liquid to pasty on a plurality of keratin fibers, characterized in that it comprises: a flat handle defining a plane, and at least one bundle of hairs or bristles extending from the handle and parallel to the plane of the handle towards a free end thereof, wherein the hairs have a suitable length to load the fibers with the product when the applicator is moved, to keep the hairs in a direction substantially parallel to the lengths of the fibers.

Description

RI APPLICATOR OR OE EYELASH MASK DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The invention has as its object a new applicator of liquid product to pasty, in particular mascara or mascara, for keratin fibers, as well as a transportable packaging set for mascara endowed with this new applicator Numerous mascara application and conditioning devices have been proposed. Pill-type masks, for example, as shown in the attached figure 1a, are used with a brush 3 of the waxing or bitumen application type, the end of which hairs are rubbed on a wetted mask or mascara tablet. The application surface of the mascara is the surface constituted by the end of the bristles of the brush. In this figure, the brush 3 can be seen loading a flange 2, the hairs 6 being perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the flange. The load variation is proportional to the viscosity of the paste constituted by the moistened tablet. The use of such a device is annoying: in fact, on the one hand it requires the preparation and the previous dosage of the paste and on the other hand, the application of the make-up is very little exact. Many mascara application and conditioning devices have also been proposed comprising a rigid tubular body open at one end, which contains the mascara, and an applicator apt to be housed in this body, which is immersed in the mascara and is provided with a brush REF: 2451 5 or brush. An element lodged in the body ensures the draining of the brush or brush when the applicator is removed from the body. The attached figure 1 b represents an applicator marked with the reference 1 as a whole, according to these applicators of the prior art, and a flange 2. The applicator 1 is provided with a brush 3 comprising a central core 4 formed by threads 5 twists containing hairs 6. These hairs 6 form a spiral whose axis is the core 4. The makeup of the keratinous fibers, in particular of the flanges 2, is made by rotating the applicator 1 with respect to the core 4 on its axis. The straightening of the eyelashes 2 is thus done with a few hairs 6 oriented perpendicularly to the eyelashes. These applicators have numerous drawbacks. Indeed, they do not always allow an optimum loading of the keratin fibers, and in particular of the eyelashes; The bristles of the brush, arranged in a spiral perpendicular to its central core, are short and it is very difficult to smooth the lashes along their entire length. The action, which consists in turning the applicator on its longitudinal axis, is equally uncomfortable and very imprecise. The eyelashes are not always well separated. Furthermore, when the brush is drawn perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis of these hairs, the formula of the mascara is very often subject to the shearing effect and loses the qualities due to its particular viscosity: the formula can constitute lumps, a phenomenon that implies a bad straightening of the eyelashes. This requires using compositions insensitive to the shear effect and limits the number of rime compositions! usable. This is particularly the case of the mascara mascara with a strong pigmentary charge. Finally, the element housed in the body to drain the brush causes, upon removal of the latter, an unpleasant sucking noise due to the depression created inside the body. So the need for a product applicator, in particular rime! that ensures a better loading of the keratin fibers, in particular lashes, as well as an optimal separation of the latter, while offering an extremely simple use. The object of the present invention is to satisfy this need. The object of the invention is thus a new applicator of liquid to pasty product, in particular of mascara, comprising a flat handle and at least one bundle of hairs implanted parallel to the plane of the handle, the width of the free end of the hair bundle, measured following a first parallel direction of this plane, being equal to at least one quarter of an arch of eyelashes, the hairs being able to load product in particular mascara onto keratin fibers following a longitudinal geometric axis of the latter. The product to be applied with the applicator of the invention can be any liquid to pasty product such as fluids comprising pigments and / or re-polishers, and in particular, hair dye or lipstick or mascara. The keratinous fibers can be eyelashes, eyebrows, hair or bristles. By a bundle of hairs, one means a hair or several hairs. This applicator has many advantages. In particular, its use is facilitated in relation to the known applicators. Indeed, the handle is flat and can be easily taken between the thumb and forefinger, for an easier grip of the applicator, the handle can be more or less curved, so that it conforms to the shape of the fingers, in particular to the shape of the thumb. In this way, the application of the product is no longer made in an uncertain manner, by rotating the applicator along its axis as in the known applicators, but by smoothing the keratin fibers, and in particular the eyelashes, over their entire length, from its base to its end, leaving the hairs tangent to the eyelashes. The operative action is much simpler than with the known applicators. It is also possible to tilt the applicator at will and thus bend the tabs according to the desired degree of cuivure. The attached figure 2 represents an applicator 1 according to the invention, comprising a handle 8 and some hairs 6. With this type of applicator the hairs 6 are used along their entire length. Optimum loading of the eyelashes 2 is obtained. Advantageously, the hairs have an effective length to allow the eyelashes to be loaded following the hair axis.
They can be of different shapes and lengths, have capillary grooves or rough edges, ensuring these different configurations at the same time a better load of the product on the eyelashes and a better separation of the latter.
Advantageously, the hairs are configured in the form of beams arranged in parallel or staggered lines. The hairs as a whole can look like a whale plaque. The hairs can also be rigid or semi-rigid, ensuring this rigidity a more effective straightening of the lashes and a very good curvature thereof. The hairs can be made of elastically deformable material, metal, glass, wood. The handle of the applicator can be plastic. It is thus possible to realize an applicator that only comprises organic matters. The particular length of the hairs, as well as their different shapes ensure a load on the eyelashes adapted to the wishes of the user: thus, fine hairs, thick hairs, short hairs, longer, flocculated, hairs that have roughness can be mixed, hairs of different degrees of stiffness according to the desired load. Thick, flocculated hairs will charge more mascara on the lashes. Hairs that have hair slots or rough edges will better separate the eyelashes. Stiffer hairs, as well as a particular inclination of the handle, will ensure an ideal curvature of the eyelashes. Finally we will say that the hairs can also include destructive agents such as motybdenum disulphide, bactericidal agents such as the "Microban" product sold by the company Microban Product Co pany, or also moisture absorbing agents that soften the hairs and change their surface tension. The invention also relates to a conditioning assembly comprising the applicator defined above and a deposit of liquid to pasty product, in particular rime! provided with a drainer. Advantageously, the drainer has a window whose larger dimension is oriented following the first direction defined above. The assembly thus defined ensures a draining of the hairs parallel to its longitudinal axis and avoids the unpleasant suction noise when the applicator is removed. In addition, the formula of the product is not destroyed and the phenomenon of shear effect does not take place. This therefore allows the use of rime formulas! They are generally sensitive to the shear effect and opens the door to new mascara formulas. The configuration of the hairs, advantageously in bundles parallel to the plane of the handle, and not in spiral as in the known masks, also prevents the projection of the product. The invention and its embodiment will appear more clearly in the description that follows. This description is made with reference to the attached figures, in the :, which: - Figure 1a is a sectional view of the make-up of a flange by means of a brush, of the waxed type or bitumen applicator, of a rime ! in tablet, - Figure 1b is a sectional view of the makeup of a flange by means of a brush or spiral brush of a tubular applicator, - Figure 2 is a view of the makeup of a flange with an applicator according to the invention, - Figure 3 is a perspective view of the applicator according to the invention, - Figure 4a is a sectional view of hairs having at least one capillary slot, - Figure 4b is a sectional view of bundles. of hairs cut according to particular shapes, - Figure 4c represents hairs of different lengths comprising balls, - Figure 4d represents a hair whose end has the shape of a nail, - Figure 4e represents a breastplate whose end has the shape of a fork or fork, - figure 4f represents a wavy hair, - figure 4g represents flocked hairs, - figure 5 is a sectional view of the applicator provided with "a tassel", - figure 6 is a sectional view of the ap licator endowed with a flexible handle, - Figure 7 is a view of the applicator with hairs of different lengths superinjected in the handle, - Figure 8 is a sectional view of a hair having asperities, - Figure 9 is a view of the applicator with hairs arranged in staggered fashion, - Figure 10 is a sectional view of the conditioning assembly comprising a applicator according to the invention and a mascara deposit. Figure 1 1 is a perspective view of an apiarist of the invention, having an articulated handle. According to the embodiment illustrated in FIG. 3, the aplícador indicated with the reference 1 as a whole essentially comprises a handle 8 and some bundles 9 of hairs 6. The handle 8 comprises two flat parts, a first part 10 in which the beams 9 of hairs 6 are directly planted, and a second part 11 inclined with respect to the first part 10. In this figure, the two parts are integral and are made in a single piece, but could be articulated.
A first X direction is defined, contained in the plane of the part 10 of the handle 8 and directed perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis A of this handle, a second direction Y, perpendicular to the plane of the part 10 of the handle 8 and a third direction Z perpendicular to X and Y. Thus afterwards, the bundles 9 of hairs 6 are planted in the part 10 parallel to the plane of the latter and following a direction substantially parallel to Z. By way of indication, we will say that the handle has a length, measured according to Z, which goes from 1 to 4 cm. The bundles of hairs are indistinctly planted, glued, hooked or overinjected in part 10. They are arranged in rows 7, the hairs being 6 different when more 3 mm apart, measured at their base 15 and following the X direction, and at most 2 mm, measured at their free end 17 and always following the X direction. In Figure 3, the hair bundles are arranged in two rows 7 parallel and aligned in front of each other. The width of the set of the bundles 9 of hairs 6, measured at the free end of the hairs following the X direction, is by (or less than a quarter of an eyelash arch and in particular greater than 0.75 cm. Preferably from 0.75 to 3 cm The thickness of the set of the bundles 9 of hairs 6, also measured at the free end of the hairs and following the direction Y, is at most equal to the thickness of the handle, in particular of the part 10, also measured in the direction Y. In practice, this thickness is determined between 0.5 and 5 mm The length of the hairs 6, measured following the Z direction, is sufficient to allow the lashes to be loaded over the length of the geometric axis of the hairs, this length is generally greater than 5 mm, and can reach 60 mm, preferably from 5 to 40 mm, and even more preferably from 10 to 30 mm, in a preferred embodiment of the invention, the hairs have a length comprised between 15 and 20 mm. The catalyst according to the invention generally has a diameter of 0.04 to 0.7 mm, preferably 0.05 to 0.6 mm, and more preferably still 0.06 to 0.4 mm. Its hardness can be between 10 shore A to 60 shore D. The hairs can have identical or different natures, shapes, lengths. Thus, the hairs 6 of the applicator 1 according to the invention can be natural or synthetic. They may be of natural or vegetable fibers, metal, such as steel, glass, wood, or elastically deformable materials such as vulcanized elastomers, thermoplastic materials. In particular they can be made with thermoplastics over-injected into the handle, as shown in FIG. 7. Preferably, the hairs are synthetic.
They may have been subjected to a flocculation and comprise at their end shorter hairs 23 as depicted in Figure 4g; Its roughness and its length differences can be obtained by grinding perpendicular or tangent to the hairs, by hot modeling. The hairs may have balls 24 obtained by carding, as shown in Figure 4c. These balls can be located at different hair heights. The hairs may have been bombarded by gamma or beta rays to change their surface state. They may have been smuggled to be affiliated. Its free end may have the shape of a nail 25, as shown in FIG. 4d, or of a fork or fork 26, as shown in FIG. 4e. The hairs may have one or more capillary grooves of different sections, such as the grooves 12 shown in Figure 4a; the hair bundles can be cut following a bevel shape 27, or following a concave 28 or convex 29, as shown in Figure 4b; they may have asperities 14, such as the hair shown in Figure 8; they may be curved, or have undulations along their entire length, such as the hair 30 shown in Figure 4f. The applicator can also be provided with a "tassel" 13, that is, of a capillary or impregnable foam between two rows 7 of hairs 6, as shown in FIG. 5. Such an element ensures a better load of cough hairs in mascara. This figure 5 is further distinguished from figure 3 by the fact that the handle has been made in a single flat piece, whose middle plane is contained in the plane defined by the directions and Z. Figure 11 is different from figure 3 by the fact that the hairs as a whole form a curve, that the handle 8 is articulated around a hinge 31, and that the handle comprises two notches 32, for locking the handle, either "parallel to the hairs, or an inclined position. The hinge can be a film hinge. The characteristics shown in FIG. 1 1 can be adapted to any other application of FIGS. 2 to 10. FIG. 6 shows an embodiment of the applicator according to the invention, whose handle 8 is flexible. The handle 8 here comprises three parts: a part 10 similar to that of figure 3, a central part 19 whose thickness is less than that of part 10, and a third part 20, located in the extension of parts 10 and 19, and whose thickness is substantially equal to that of the part 10. Thanks to the part 19, the handle 8 is flexible and the applicator can thus be inclined in relation to the tabs according to the wishes of the user. Such flexible handle also confers more softness to the makeup when the product is applied by means of rigid or semi-rigid hairs. Figure 7 represents an applicator whose hairs 6 have different longitudinals and have been overinjected in the handle 8. In the preferred embodiment of the invention shown in Figure 9, the hairs 9 of hairs 6 are arranged in staggered fashion.
Figure 10 depicts a conditioning assembly 16 for mascara comprising the applicator 1 and a reservoir 18 of mascara 21. The assembly 6 is shown closed, the applicator performing the cap paper. The reservoir 18 comprises a drainer 22. In closed position, the hairs 6 are immersed in the mascara 21. When the applicator 1 is removed, the hairs 6 are drained by the drainer 22, by simple straightening of the hairs, without any modification of your orientation. This set is relatively compact and can be easily transported. Specifically, such an applicator is used very simply, in association with a rime deposit! as described or even with a tablet-type mascara, the applicator of the invention being rubbed on the moistened tablet. As this applicator is applied, the mascara can be applied on the eyelashes in an extremely simple way, the act of application being applied to smooth the lashes from bottom to top, from the base of the eyelashes towards its end, leaving the applicator's hairs parallel to the eyelashes. tabs. The operative action is also much more precise than that of the prior art (see Figures 1a and 1b) Indeed, the flat handle and the particular configuration of this applicator allow, on the one hand, to hold it easily during use, and on the other hand , make a better calculated makeup, in front of the eyelashes, thanks to a wider and freer operative action. Such an applicator allows the user to truly accompany the hairs along the lashes and load the lashes very accurately. Finally, the user can finish her action by tilting the applicator to position the hairs perpendicularly to the lashes. It can thus perfectly separate and bend the latter thanks to the extreme tip of the hairs. Tai applicator is very simple realization. The handle may, for example, be molded plastic, wood or any other material commonly used in the manufacture of the applicators. The applicator according to the invention has the advantage of not comprising metallic central core. It is noted that in relation to this date, the best method known by the applicant to carry out said invention is that it is clear from the present description of the invention, the invention having been described as above. , the content of the following is claimed as property:
