Description
PRIMARY CABLE OF COMPRESSED DRIVER
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
In the last decades, the automotive industry has undergone a technological transformation that has allowed it a great advance thanks to the application of state-of-the-art technology in each of the equipment and accessories and, above all, in the electronic area of each of the processes focused on to the manufacture of automotive-type low voltage primary cable. This technology has allowed to reduce the volume of the cable of the same sectional area with the same conductance, of electric current
Similarly, insulation techniques have been improved by identifying a range of insulating materials so that the thickness of the wall has been reduced, allowing for greater cable compaction.
A compact or compressed assembled cable therefore allows modifying the types of harness used in the automotive industry, which provides automotive vehicles with more compact aerodynamic designs and greater power by reducing their weight and therefore with greater fuel savings.
The compact or compressed assembly cables allow to use a larger space to accommodate the different electric circuits that are increasing according to the new needs, such as:
Safety v Convenience: such as climate control, cruise control, key entry alarm, light reminders, wiper sensors, door alarm, window control etc. Power train: such as machine dynamics, ignition timing, fuel release control, spark distribution, turbo control, emissions monitor, voltage regulator, alternator energy recovery, operational adaptation etc. Entertainment: such as noise reduction system, cellular radiotelephone, CD optical disc tape, CB radio, digital audio tape etc. Information to the Personal Conductor.- digital and analogous measurements, machine diagnostics, screen, service reminders, digital clock, navigation computers, high intelligence trajectory, avoid collisions, alerts, etc.
Body control.- multiplexed cable, internal module network, body system diagnostics, smart power adjusters, dynamic ride control, active suspension, load level anti-theft devices, electronic steering, electronic muf? Ler etc.
As you can see the total electrical circuits in an automotive vehicle not only affects the volume and space of the vehicle but also in its weight and therefore in its design.
It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide an automotive-type compressed-conductor low voltage primary cable that allows to lighten the weight in the vehicle, increases the fuel efficiency, increases the production rates, uniformizes the values in the tests physical-chemical and mechanical, reduces wall thicknesses, allows greater integration of circuits in the harness and offers more operations convenience and comfort to the user.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The invention is described below according to the drawings of figures 1 to 3, wherein:
Fig. 1. It is a sectional section of the primary cable of compact conductor that shows the thickness of the insulation and a certain internal diameter of 0.35 mm2 caliber compacted
Fig. 2. It is a sectional section of the cable of fig. 1 with caliber of 0.50 mm2
Fig. 3. It is a sectional section of the primary wire of the compressed conductor assembly with caliber of 0.75 mm
The manufacture of primary cable of compressed conductor requires a precision during the extrusion of the insulation layer and a reduction in the size of the wire, to achieve these conditions it is necessary to select the right type of insulation material, as well as the type of equipment necessary to reduce the volume of conventional cable.
The primary cable of the invention 10, is properly a low voltage primary cable that has the particularity of having a same sectional area 11, and that allows to conduct the same amount of electrical current to any part of an automotive vehicle, despite its diameter 12 outside, dimensionally is smaller with respect to a same caliber of the same nature due to the compaction that suffers during the assembly process compacted in a meeting machine.
This cable is manufactured using red copper wires 13, stretched from unifying stretch machines as a first stage, as a second stage a gathering machine with pretorcedor must be used to perform the joint-compact operation and finally as a third stage ( EXTRUDED) will be placed concentrically to achieve a uniform insulation thickness of a layer or insulation 14, made of a thermoplastic compound composed of PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) with a 90 ° classification with extra thin walls and high resistance to abrasion in any type of machine. extrusion for thermoplastics, achieving higher production rates compared to a conventional primary cable.
The primary cable of compressed conductor has several advantages with respect to the other conventional primary cables, since it achieves a greater uniformity in the insulation thickness and with this a uniformity in the results of the physical-chemical and mechanical tests is achieved to the that is subject by the design of it.
This cable has been designed for use in the manufacture of an automotive type harness where it will be exposed to working temperatures of -40 ° C to 105 ° C, range of temperatures specified by design of automotive electrical systems.
The assembled cable 10 has a core 12, constituted by a central wire 15, surrounded by at least six pre-formed wires 13 that make up the assembled core and have 0.325 mm gauge wires with a sectional area of 0.35 mm2 and 0.2 mm of insulation thickness.
This cable must be manufactured taking care that when compacting it is fulfilled with the maximum allowed electrical resistance since it is the characteristic that governs and that would command the design of the cable.
The manufacture of the cable of this invention requires a precision during the extrusion of the insulation layer and a reduction in the size of the wire to achieve these conditions it is necessary to select the type of suitable insulation material, as well as the type of equipment needed to reduce the volume of conventional cable.
The main characteristics as a finished product are the following:
A) .- Reduce the weight of the product B) .- You get thinner harnesses
C) .- The flexibility of the harnesses is increased by allowing more circuits in it. D) .- Advantages in the application of terminals by displacement of the insulator
E) .- It allows greater productivity in areas of extruded and avoid stoppages of equipment by wire (loose wires)
F) .- It allows to obtain uniform results in terms of puncture abrasion tests, resistance to oil, heat to the elongation voltage and resistance to low temperature.
