Abstract

Se describe un metodo para calibrar un detector de humo que incluye ajustar la sensibilidad del detector de humo para obtener una respuesta predeterminada consistente en el rango de operacion esperado. La sensibilidad es generalmente consistente para todos los detectores y se determina un valor de desviacion independiente para cada detector. Este valor de desviacion corresponde basicamente a la senal del detector en una atmosfera limpia. La sensibilidad del detector de humo se determina midiendo la respuesta a diferentes niveles de oscurecimiento y entonces ajustando apropiadamente la salida de la fuente de luz del detector. Este proceso se repite hasta que se alcanza la sensibilidad deseada. Posteriormente, el valor de desviacion se mide o se calibra y se almacena en el detector de humo para usarse en el establecimiento de valores de alarma.
