The invention is characterised in that the dimensions of the cover (5) are pre-determined as a function of the area to be covered, said area to be covered including the heads (1) of the screws (2) which are used to fix the shell propulsion mechanism (3) to the support (4). The invention is further characterised in that it comprises means for fixing the cover to the sporting rifle.

Description

PROTECTIVE COVER TO APPLY TO SPORTS CARABINAS Protective cap for applying to sports carbines comprising screws that fix a mechanism for driving the projectile to a support of the carbine, wherein said cover has predetermined dimensions depending on the area to be covered, being included in said area to cover the heads of the screws that fix the projectile drive mechanism to the support, and because it also incorporates a means of fixing the cover to the aforementioned sports car.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION The most usual way of fixing the projectile drive mechanism of the sports carbines to the support thereof is based on the introduction of screws, usually obliquely, that pass through said support to finally screw on the outer wall of said mechanism of the projectile, leaving the heads of the same visible from the outer side of the support, which together with its oblique arrangement causes them to protrude a little and cause a rather unsightly effect, as well as potentially dangerous for the user of the carbine, that could damage the hands when rubbing with the heads of these screws. The patent application n ° 200002464, of the present applicant, proposes a device for articulating a mechanism for driving the projectile in a carbine or pistol of compressed air of the mechanism of drive of the rocking projectile. In said application a system for securing the device to the body of a cylinder head similar to the one mentioned in the previous paragraph is pointed out by means of a series of through holes preferably located in a radial orientation, in angular positions symmetrical with respect to a vertical longitudinal plane of the carbine. or gun, through which some fixing screws are screwed into nuts. It does not describe any system for hiding said screws.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention proposes a protective cover applicable to sports carbines, to cover the heads of screws that fix the projectile drive mechanism to the support of said carbine, thus achieving to hide and protect said heads, with the consequent functional and aesthetic benefit. The inventor has been able to observe that the fact of covering said screws brings different advantages to the carbine. On the one hand, said screws remain outside the eroding agents, for example dust, water, mud, which would sometimes prevent easy unscrewing and separation of the projectile drive mechanism from the carbine support at the time of cleaning. the same. On the other hand, the external attraction of the carbine is increased, since much more continuous lines are achieved, while at the same time allowing for roughness in said bezel to facilitate gripping of the carbine by the user. Finally, an area that, especially at night and before spotlights or from the Moon itself, can reflect and reveal the situation of the hunter is covered. Said lid has predetermined dimensions depending on the area to be covered, being included in said area to cover the heads of the screws that fix the projectile drive mechanism to the support. In addition, it also incorporates fastening means for the cover to the aforementioned sports rifle, which in the drawings is illustrated as snap-on snap-on lugs, which are inserted into at least two cavities arranged in the support of the rifle that receive and fit said lugs to the same, although it could well be by other means as later and in more detail will be exposed.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS The invention will be better understood from the following detailed description of an example of embodiment thereof, which includes references to the attached drawings, in which: - Fig. 1 is a side elevational view from a support of a carbine bolted to a projectile drive mechanism, partially seen, and the cover proposed by the present invention, seen in profile, in a situation prior to its fixing, - Fig. 2 shows a portion of the support and the projectile driving mechanism of Fig. 1 with the lid mounted on them, - Fig. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the assembly of the lid on the support shown in Fig. 1, taken through the plane lililí of Fig. 1, and - Fig. 4 is a cross-sectional view of the assembly of the lid on the support shown in Fig. 1, taken through the plane IV-IV of Fig. 1.
CONCRETE REALIZATION OF THE INVENTION REQUESTED Thus, in the specific embodiment, in Fig. 1 there is illustrated a head 1 of thyme, a mechanism for driving the projectile 3, a support 4, a recess 8, some cavities 7, blind holes 11, a cover 5, some lugs 6 and a projection 10. In Fig. 2 the referred mechanism of projection of the projectile 3, the support 4 and the cover 5 is shown. The aforementioned projectile driving mechanism 3, the support 4, screws 2, the covers 5 and the heads 1 of the screws are shown in FIG. 3. Finally, in FIG. 4, the indicated mechanism for driving the projectile 3, the support 4, the cavities 7, the caps 5, the perimeter portion have been drawn. 9 and the lugs 6.
In this particular embodiment, it has been chosen to represent a case in which the fastening means are embodied in the form of at least some lugs 6 of snap-fit under pressure and in that the support 4 of the carbine comprises at least two cavities 7 which receive and fit said lugs 6, although they could be said fixing means in any other way such as for example adhesive means, tabs under pressure in cavities previously made in the support 4, etc.,. As shown in the attached fis, the cover proposed by the present invention, which is applicable to sports carbines, is used to cover the heads 1 of screws 2 that fix the projectile 3 drive mechanism to the support 4 of said carbine. Normally the screws 2 are arranged obliquely, as can be seen in Figs. 1 and 3, said lid 5 being fixed to said support 4 by fixing means arranged on its inner face. Said fixing means, as can be seen in Figs. 1 and 4 are embodied in the form of at least two lugs 6 of snap-fit under pressure and the support 4 of the rifle comprises at least two cavities 7 which receive and fit said lugs 6 thereto. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the lugs 6 are four and have a mushroom shape, with their respective cavities 7 arranged in the support 4, but it is evident that the number and shape thereof could be other than an expert in the matter could occur to him. In Fig. 1 it can also be seen how, in order for the cover 5 to be positioned and fit properly on the support 4, it has a recess 8 in part of its outer surface of shape and size such that at least one the perimetric portion 9 of the lid 5 fits into it, thus facilitating its positioning on the support 4. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 1, the lid 5 further comprises additional positioning means, which cooperate with the recess 8 commented, to ensure its correct positioning. Said positioning means in this embodiment are at least two projections 10 arranged on the inside face of the cover able to fit in at least two blind holes 11 arranged in the support 4 of the rifle for this purpose. The aforementioned positioning means could also be a guiding means with fitting, etc. In another embodiment (not shown) it would be possible to dispense with said additional positioning means, and perform such function simply thanks to the recess 8 made in the support 4. As can be seen from the fis, the cover proposed by the present invention is transversely convex towards the outside and longitudinally elongated, although it could, obviously, adopt other forms for other embodiments. As can be seen in Fig. 2, the outer surface of the lid 5 is, at least in part, smooth and is therefore capable of carrying printed graphic information on its outer face, such as the logo of the manufacturing company . In a preferred embodiment, the proposed cover is in one piece and has been obtained by injection molding of plastic material, which makes its manufacturing cost relatively low, although the manufacturing process could be another that offers results similar, in terms of lid functionality. The present invention describes a new protective cap for applying to sports carbines. The examples mentioned herein are not limiting of the present invention, therefore may have different applications and / or adaptations, all within the scope of the following claims.
