Abstract

La presente invencion se relaciona a un metodo para incorporar eficientemente un absorbedor UV en una resina de poliester. El metodo incluye formar una mezcla de reaccion que comprende un componente de diol, un componente de diacido seleccionando del grupo que consiste de acidos dicarboxilicos, derivados de acido dicarboxilico y mezclas de los mismos, un compuesto que contiene antimonio, un compuesto que contiene fosforo, un compuesto que contiene metal y un absorbente UV. La mezcla de reaccion se polimeriza en un sistema de reaccion de policondensacion. En otra modalidad de la presente invencion, el absorbedor UV se adiciona mientras que los productos de reaccion de un reactor se transfieren al siguiente reactor en el sistema de reaccion de policondensacion. Tambien se divulga una composicion de poliester que tiene el absorbedor UV incorporado en la misma.
