Se describe un sistema y metodo para valorar la eficacia de un tratamiento de trastornos neurologicos o psicologicos; la modalidad preferida utiliza al menos dos electrodos de superficie para adquirir senales del EEG de la superficie del cuerpo de un paciente, un procesador para calcular de las senales del EEG varios rasgos e indices que son representativos del estado neurologico o psicologico del paciente; los cambios en estos parametros pueden utilizarse para valorar la eficacia del tratamiento y para modificar el tratamiento para optimizar el estado resultante del paciente.
