Abstract

La invencion describe un sensor sumergido para utilizarse en un deposito metalurgico, como un embudo de recoleccion; el sensor se encuentra ubicado de manera que, en el uso, se encuentra por debajo de una superficie de un bano de metal fundido dentro del deposito; el sensor se extiende de manera conveniente a traves de la pared del deposito y se proyecta hacia el volumen del deposito; un extremo superior del sensor se encuentra albergado en un ensamble protector; el ensamble protector de la invencion puede tener una forma tal que se controle el patron del flujo de metal fundido en el deposito o se mida con mayor exactitud el metal fundido que esta saliendo del deposito; de forma ventajosa, la invencion puede combinar la funcionalidad requerida para la modificacion del patron de flujo, segun lo provee una represa, almohadilla de impacto o deflector, con la funcionalidad requerida para un sensor; esta combinacion reduce costos y complejidad.
